2005 1oz Gold Australian Painted Lunar Year of the Cockerel

This One Ounce 24-carat Gold coin is part of an annual release in Australia. These coins are issued by the Perth Mint to celebrate The Chinese Lunar Calendar, so each year features the respective animal from the cycle of twelve. The Year of the Cockerel (or Rooster) was issued in 2005. This fine gold coin contains one ounce of Gold (999.9 fineness) so would make an interesting and ideal alternative to investing in the more common bullion coins.
