1930 $20 Double Eagle St Gaudens Head Gold Coin San Francisco

A very rare coin. Almost all coins were melted during the late 1930s. 1930 American Double Eagle has a face value of $20. It is 0.9675 troy-ounce of fine gold. Issued from 1908 - 1933, the $20 Double Eagle features the St Gauden design under the "LIBERTY" heading. The reverse has the eagle in flight and the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TWENTY DOLLARS" and "IN GOD WE TRUST". The "S" mint mark denotes the San Francisco mint.
